Because homes were selling so quickly, John always responded promptly when we wanted to view a home either in person or virtually. He submitted the contract in a timely manner and provided frequent updates on the sellers decision. Once our contract was accepted, John continued to provide valuable resources including lists of recommended lenders, inspectors, and closing attorneys. This was very useful and saved us a lot of time. From the date the offer was accepted until the closing date, John continued to provide guidance whenever we asked. First let me say John is a straight shooter, which is hard to find. John told us straight forward what we needed to do to help sell our house without sugar coating, which I appreciate. He was very thruogh explaining the whole selling process. He answered all of questions on the spot, and never shyed away when we called or text him when questions arose. We were very very well informed of every aspect in selling our house, especially scheduled showings of our house, and everytime someone entered our house. He assured me that the house would be secured and it was as I did perform some spot checks and found all the locks secured. John also assisted by supplying us a list of lawyers for closing, which was very helpful. It saved us time by not having to track down someone to perform our closing. He also introduced us to indoc-sign, which we were able to sign remotely, saving us time and travel. It was a real pleasure dealing with John and his office team. The whole process was seamless with no problems to report. If I repurchase in the OBX John will be the only agent I will use. We met John when we called to look at one of the houses he had listed while staying at a friend’s house one weekend. That started the whirl-wind search for the perfect home for our family in Duck. My husband and I have bought and sold a lot of real estate over the years and we have never worked with a more accomplished professional, but yet very personable, real estate agent than John. We live 2.5 hours away from Duck and the market was HOT, so every trip counted. John always came prepared with a sheet on every house I asked to see, had obviously researched them as he could answer 95% of my question about them, and we had the other 5% answered usually before we could get home that same day. He listened to what we liked and didn’t like, watched what we reacted to negatively and positively, and tried to also add in houses he thought we might have missed. He also used these criteria to make auto-alerts about new houses as they were being bought sight unseen sometimes. He took the time to get to know us and what we wanted to the extent that when he called about a new house on the market, I asked him to go look at it first. When he said Beth you and Ron will love it and it won’t last, we trusted him enough to ask off early from work, drive the 2.5 hours, look at it in the dark, and YES make an offer that night. We are now enjoying that home and John is a big part of why. If you are looking for an agent to help you find your dream home, not just sell you a house, then John is your choice. There are so many good things I can say about John. I would say his knowledge in the field is outstanding, and I’ve learn so much from him. Also, the communication and responsiveness is outstanding, either via text, email or phone call. There is many little things he did which I am really appreciated. Having John represent us is a bless.
